Galatians 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
As the new school year begins, most of us are worrying about what classes we have, if any of our friends will be with us, or the opponent for the next football game. Going into my senior year, there are many things I would’ve done differently through my elementary, middle, and high school year. But the main thing I missed out on was sharing my faith of Jesus Christ with more of my peers.
Just think of how many people you encounter every day at school! Imagine if you were to make an impact on each one of their lives for the Glory of God. You would be changing a lot of lives. This year I challenge everyone, myself included, to stand up for our faith and Christ. Whether it be praying before an important basketball or soccer game, or reading your bible in class. Simple things such as writing a bible verse on a sticky note and leaving it on your desk for the next person that will sit there can make a difference. It doesn’t matter what age you are, God uses any age, size, or race to lead others to follow him.
Don’t make the same mistake I did and waste your years of school on things that will not matter after we die. Grades, winning the state championship in football, having a lot of friends, and being apart of a lot of clubs DO MATTER. But what matters even MORE is the amount of lives you help lead to Christ, the good example you set for kids in lower grades, and the attitude you have toward your teachers and peers. Take advantage of the mission field God has given you at your school, and work for the Glory Of his Name!
1 Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
